They want fish and you got fish. You can, if you have a pump, try an oriental bamboo deer scare. It is a slanted bamboo deep cup on a tipping mechanism. It fills slowly, then tips to empty itself, banging with a loud thunk to refill from your pump water. They can be set to thunk a lot or little and look kind of cool. Easy to make. Ask if you need further direction. Balloons on strings can work and I understand that if you still have some of those antique cassette tapes, stringing that around works. It makes a noise as well as a visual disturbance.

Place a fake heron out by your pond. I head they are territorial birds so that should work.

Two of many- Check out the catalogue for or on line at Cabela’s.com. Look for a Coyote, or an Owl plastic life size models or go leevalley.com an check out theirs. They work great. Some even are made to float an heads turn with the wind to make them life like with movements.
